He May Never Be President, But Has Played One on TV

Published by Jenn under Politics

Fred Thompson’s performance last night in the South Carolina debate was his best to date, yet, he still did not act like he really wants to be president. I think it is probably because he does not want to run for president. He, himself was quoted as saying, “I’m not particularly interested in running for president.”

The good news for Thompson is that even though he will probably never be president, he HAS played one on TV.

Excellent Debate Recap at the Standard

Published by Jenn under Mike Huckabee, Politics

Blog Main Page

The Weekly Standard blog, “Campagin Standard“, has an excellent recap of last night’s Repbulican debate.  Here is an excerpt.

Mike Huckabee’s an exceptional politician whose package of skills is often sold short. He’s a lot more than an affable dispenser of one-liners who only knows how to play to the home crowd. For people who might be inclined to dismiss Huckabee, compare his response to Thompson’s adroit offensive with McCain’s blundering into the climate warming thicket. These two are the likely finalists, and one of them is much better at politics than the other.
