Weather Channel Founder Suggests Sueing Al Gore for Fraud

Published by Jenn under Politics, Weather

FOXNews.com - Weather Channel Founder: Sue Al Gore for Fraud - Science News | Science & Technology | Technology News

This is another rare post where 2 of my favorites, weather and politics, collide.  I love it.  finally a meteorologist who will speak out against the mainstream liberal media.  Weather Channel founder, John Coleman, is suggesting that a lawsuit be filed against Al Gore for financial fraud due to the money people have poured into curbing global warming.

Coleman has been an outspoken critic of the concept of global warming and believes that the media and politicians have shut out real public discourse on a matter.  Coleman believes that a lawsuit would force a debate.

International Adotptions

Published by Jenn under Politics

Do you know what happens when you click the links on a friend’s blog? You end up reading a blog belonging to someone you barely know or someone you have never met. Well, today that happened to me. I clicked a link that led me to the blog of a college acquaintance. The blog is an encouraging story of their international adoption of two beautiful children.

However, I learned something very disturbing on that blog, and further research has verified their claim. The blog explains that all names and locations were removed because organizations like UNICEF scans the Internet looking for international adoption information and take excerpts out of context to try to block adoptions because it opposes international adoptions. By, no means do I want to offend anyone by naming names with UNICEF, but in the same light, I think it is important that this type of information be shared.

UNICEF’s position is stated here. In a sinless world, we would not have to worry about orphans. However, we do not live in that perfect world and the Bible charges Christians to care for orphans. There are many ways that can be accomplished, including adoption.

It is evident, that safeguards need to be in place to prevent child trafficking, fraudulent adoptions, and other horrible practices, but those reasons certainly don’t negate the need and benefits of international adoptions.

Truthfully, I have speculated, and I use the word speculate because I have no evidence to prove this, that perhaps there is an underlying anti-Christian element at work in this opposition. Certainly not all adoptions involve Christians, but a vast many do.. Even if the parents are not active, professing evangelicals, many still view the U.S., especially as a “Christian” nation.

McCain Against Drilling in Anwar

Published by Jenn under Uncategorized

I just saw a Sean Hannity interview with John McCain where he stated that he is against drilling in Anwar. It is unbelievable that with the price of gas threatening to reach $5 a gallon by summer that the Republican candidate for president would take such a stance.

I think this is just a taste of the moderate/liberal agenda that Senator McCain will bring to the campaign.
