Finally Here
Much to everyone’s relief, the Pennsylvania primaries are finally here. I believe we have more presidential commercials running now than we did in 2004 for the general election, and Senators Obama and Clinton get nastier by the day it seems.
I hope to vote around 4:00 P.M. I doubt I will see any media action due to living in one of two communities in Allegheny County that usually go Republican, but I will have my camera just in case. Pundits are now speculating that Pennsylvania could be the swing state in 2008, with John McCain having the chance to pull Pennsylvania in as a Red state.
The way the media has been depicting Pittsburgh is quite humorous. They keep depicting us as an old industrial town in transition. Well, that would have been a story in the 1970’s, but anyone who has spent much of any time in Pittsburgh as of recent would note that it is mostly known now for the tech industry and one of the premier medical communities in the country.
