I took my first mild step towards storm chasing last night. To be honest, I don't know enough about meteorology yet to do real storm chasing. So, with severe thunderstorms in the forecast, I grabbed my camera and headed up to the West End Overlook where I warmed up by taking some pictures of our beautiful Golden Triangle and then snapped some of some lightning that was pretty far away.
I am going to have to find a spot with a good view and not so much city light. I was pretty happy that I snapped a few distant bolts my first time out.
