MSNBC’s Chris Matthews of “Hardball” met with Democratic party leaders in Washington D.C. this week to discuss the possibility of a Matthews senate run in 2010 against 28 year incumbent Sen. Arlen Specter (R). Matthews notoriously exclaimed after hearing Sen. Obama speak, that he felt a “thrill going up my leg.” The criticism of Matthews’ partisan commentary caused MSNBC network officials to yank Matthews from election night coverage.
