- During his first press conference, the President basically defined bipartisan-ism as agreeing with him.
- There is a piece of the stimulus plan that included scary health care changes. The federal government will now determine what is cost effective and what care seniors deserve. This was slipped in by Senator Daschle who is noted as saying, Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them".
- I have been trying to get through to Senator Specter's office since last week and I have been unsuccessful. He is one of three Republican Senators voting for the tax and spend bill.
- The President is moving the Census collection from the Department of commerce to his Chief of Staff, Rahm Emmanuel, further politicizing an already polarizing process.
