The Morning Call is reporting that Pat Toomey has told his friends that he is planning to run against Sen. Arlen Specter.

Most of Pennsylvan's Conservatives saw Specter's vote for the "stimulus bill" as the last straw.  Specter, registered as a Republican rarely votes like a Republican.

Toomey is likely to be joined bu Peg Luksik of Johnstown in challenging Specter.

Edit:  Larry G. Murphy of Hermitage has also announced he intends to challenge Specter in 2010.
