After 2 twenty-somethings did the work that medi outlets with armies of reporters failed to do when they exposed the corruption present in ACORN, Congress swiftly moved in an almost unanimous vote to cut the organization’s housing funding. This cut comes just days after ACORN ties to the U.S. Census were cut.
I wish I were more optimistic about the developments, but I think instead we ought to follow the money and see if these same people don’t end up with a new name practicing the same culture of deceit and corruption.
ACORN is currently under investigation for voter fraud in several states and arrests were made for voter fraud in Florida early last week.
Will the President throw his friends at ACORN under the bus as quickly as he threw his spiritual mentor under the bus?
I used to work for this charade of an organization and YES they talked about changing their name. However, the senior management of ACORN and ACORN Housing are too narcesistic to do it but I’m sure that will change. Is funding being cut from the organizing part ACORN or housing counseling side which is ACORN HOUSING??? I think someone ought to call for the firing of ALL SENIOR MANAGEMENT including Executive Director, National Field Director, Housing Counseling Director etc of ACORN HOUSING! INVESTIGATE their I10 Loan with CitiBank where illegals can come in with fraudulant document using other people social security numbers and SENIOR MANAGEMENT knew all about this practice. STOP ACORN AND ACORN HOUSING!!!!
It was only their housing funding that was cut off, but they were also removed fromt heir census bureau work. It is a start.
