Buddy, the best dog in the world, playing in the snow

6-8" of light, fluffy lake effect snow has been piling up this week in the Pittsburgh area. We have a decent snow event coming as we close out this week, followed by another polar blast. I am already looking at the possibilities for major snow events next week and the following week. It is hard to get a major snow event with so much cold air, but not impossible

Here is a general idea of how I see the snow playing out:

We need to either have a big snow event or no snow at all. This annoying snow we’re having coupled with crippling cold is no fun! I didn’t realize how much of the summer and fall we spent outside until these last few weeks when the bitter weather has kept us indoors so much. Cabin fever much?

Enjoying the forecasting you do, as always. Although I must say that Buddy doesn’t looked exactly thrilled…

Buddy isn’t a big fan of the bitter cold…lol.

We might get that big snow event next week, too early to tell. By and alrge the forecasters have underestimated this storm and it keeps gaining more moisture with every run of the models. Though I am usually not conservative with my numbers, I might have been conservative this time around.
