After promising on 8 different occasions while on the campaign trail that healthcare reform talks would be completely transparent and that he would broadcast them on C-Span, it appears as though the Democratic tyranny in Washington has shut out the public from the Congressional reconciliation process for the healthcare bill. So the question begs to be asked, “Why can’t President Obama deliver on what he has promised?” Here are some options:
- He can’t because he is too weak and cannot bring the likes of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi under control.
- He is afraid to show us what deals are being cut.
- He never intended transparency – just another campaign empty promise.
- His party is badly splintered and does not want the American public to see the damage.
- He thinks Americans are not smart enough to engage in the conversation. After all, those tea party people dared to voice their concern. He really only wanted the left, intellectual elite to participate.
