The Massachusetts Senate race to fill the seat left by Senator Tedd Kennedy is heating up and Scott Brown, the GOP contender, has risen from a double-digit poll deficit to within the single-digit range quickly. Many now see this race as the Massachusetts referendum on the current healthcare legislation. The election is slated for Jan. 19th. Some believe the Democrats may try to push the healthcare vote through before the special election to ensure the vote passes.
