Weekend JennCast: Don’t Shoot the Messenger!

Icicles hanging outside of window

Looks like an ice prison

The last storm will return to the area (yes, seriously) bringing light snow on Saturday and Sunday. The storm is going to be in Canada bringing snow all of the way back down to Pittsburgh. This snow will be followed by a clipper on Monday through early Tuesday bringing widespread snow to the Mid-Atlantic area again. The track of the storm has waffled some, but right now it looks like the Pittsburgh metro area will see 4-8" form the clipper, with a total of 6-12" from Saturday through Tuesday morning. If the storm track changes, I will update my map over the weekend. This will be nothing like the President's Day storrm of 2003, but with between 20-30 inches of snow on the ground already, it will be something to behold!

I think maybe we should just build ourselves some igloos and hunker down like polar bears until spring. This is nuts.

This didn’t happen at all, did it? We drove from Hamilton, Ontario on Tuesday, and didn’t see anything but a dusting; but we stopped north of Pittsburgh, so perhaps we missed something further south.

Well, I can’t speak for Canada, but we did get 6.9″ from Saturday through Tuesday and an additional 1.4″ on Wednesday, so we hit our numbers, it just came in a very piece-meal like fashion.

Wow, the difference that 10 or 15 miles north makes. We got somewhere around 2 inches the whole week…
