Before the storms came last week while I was shooting at the Northside, the afternoon was idyllic, with puffy clouds and deep blue sky. Those are not the norm around Pittsburgh. More often than not it is either completely cloudless, or, more commonly, a thick, low layer of solid clouds, with terrible light. I was grateful for the chance to spend some time shooting on such a day as this.
