Chuck brought the kids out for a quick trip last night. The kids seemed pretty excited to be in Pittsburgh (who wouldn’t be excited to be in Pittsburgh?). We took a trip to the Pittsburgh Children’s Museum today before they had lunch and headed back to Cleveland.
A couple of the highlights were watching William learn how to whistle and watching Elisabeth give Buddy some very perplexing looks.

I had my share of visitors this weekend. First Chuck, Bethany, William and Elisabeth joined me Saturday and then my cousin Shelly and her daughter Casey joined us. It was a fun busy weekend.

Buddy has been in withdrawal from all of the attention he received. It should be noted, however, that no attention from his out of town friends exceeded what he received from our own canine aficionado, Iva Mae.

I took quick trip to NY to watch two of my nephew’s games this past weekend. They both won big and both boys played well.

Here is a picture of William at 13 months and Elisabeth (Lily) at 10 months. William is just growing out of the stage where his hair stuck straight up here. He looked like a real baby Einstein.

We get a chuckle out of how much William (and Zach) looks like my dad. The Grover genes seem to be fairly strong.

I made a quick trip to Cleveland this weekend. We had a great time. Chuck and I caught an awesome sunset at the lake while poor Bethany endured the “screaming Mimies” during bath time. We also had a chance to celebrate William’s birthday early.

Yesterday marked the birthdays of several friends and family members on on one day!
- Rochelle
- Kim D.
- Iva Mae
- Marsha
- Kim Grover
It was the “big 4-0″ for Rochelle and we celebrated in traditional Providence fashion with a surprise party.
Notice how Rochelle and her mom have the same expression in this photo.

I split the holiday weekend between the ‘Burgh and the “mistake on the lake”, enjoying the kids. I think it is fair to say that we had a blast. The kids both really like Buddy, so it was fun to watch them interact with him. William had the special treat of riding back to Cleveland (along with mommy and Elisabeth) in Auntie Jenn’s car, which allows him to see out the window better than his own car.

Elisabeth is getting pretty fast at crawling and her fussy temperament seems to have given way to a brighter, cheerier disposition.

William discovered his kazoo this weekend and it was fun to listen to him play it. I think he thought it was fun that he could do the same thing I could (playing the kazoo). He did a fair share of “talking”, making lots of sounds and frequently spoke the regular words in his vocabulary.

William loves Buddy’s tail - I think it is a texture thing. He also seemed to like to give Buddy hugs.
