I find myself almost avoiding the news recently because I can hardly stand the furious pace at which the United States is blazing head first from Socialism to Marxism. That’s why I haven’t been blogging as much. I am not sure I would have anything to add to what Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, Sean Hannity, or any other Conservative is saying right now. Yet, the warnings heralded by Conservatives are ignored.

Yet, I do think it is important that Americans of common sense, both Republicans and Democrats, call out to our elected officials to denounce frivolous government spending, government entanglement in the private sector, disregard for the Constitution, and the jeopardizing of our national security.

The healthcare debate is just launching. ABC is set to broadcast live from the White House in order to promote the President’s plan via an evening infomercial they call the ABC Evening News. Healthcare is too important to give up without a fight. Socialized medicine means the government has ultimate control over who lives and who dies. It opens the door to further the eugenics and the genocide of black Americans that is being carried out through abortion. It shuts the door on the elderly or those who are not “perfect”. Do you really want Nancy Pelosi having a say in what kind of medical treatment you receive.

Healthcare costs are spiraling out of reach, yet government intervention is not the solution. Instead, government needs to free healthcare by addressing reform of malpractice law and perhaps even introducing a limited tort for healthcare. Fixing the malpractice problem would not only significantly reduce healthcare costs and the burden on the thinly stretched judicial system, but it would eliminate layers of bureaucracy created by healthcare organizations to protect itself from litigation.

Lastly, even if we did believe that socialized medicine was the best choice, now would not be the time. We have just gambled away billions of dollars on a spending package that has mortgaged the futures of the next two generations. It is like running up a credit card bill for your unborn children and grandchildren. With the largest deficit in history before us, we can hardly afford to take on more debt.

Conservatives must re-engage as the healthcare debate begins. Silence would be disastrous if the Pelosi/Reed/Obama presidency is left unchecked.

Our nice little Western PA blizzard appears to be a bust. I am not surprised but I am disappointed.

Evidently the models are way off due to the weather planes being rerouted due to the impending erruption of an Alaskan volcano.

We are now expected to get 1-3 inches. However, if the recent forecasts are indications, that might mean we will actually get 2-5″.
