When I began my TAB journey, I was clueless. I killed my first battery within days. Over time as my understanding evolved, I started to dream about boondocking and remote work for weeks. But how could I be sure that my batteries would last?
To better understand how every 12v appliance and light affects the T@B’s battery, I originally created a detailed power consumption spreadsheet. After proving invaluable to many in the T@B community, that popular tool has now been upgraded into the brand new, interactive T@B Camper Power Calculator, designed to help you easily model your battery usage for any trip.

The Power Calculator is your personal energy audit tool. By modeling your specific usage habits, it gives you a realistic estimate of your battery’s performance, so you can camp with confidence and make smart decisions about your power consumption.
How It Works
The calculator makes it easy to see the impact of your unique camping style:
- Select Your Appliances: Go through a list of common T@B appliances—from the lights, furnace, and water pump to the TV and inverter.
